The first one was in my wishlist since I saw it, because I love pastel colors. It is Peachy Keen, from Up & Away collection.
This is a strong peach shade, with creme finish. It is glossy and I took it off after 3 days, and it still was nice.
It took me three coats to have an opaque effect, but I’m still not satisfied with it. The brush is quite thin and very comfortable, the application was good.
Maybe I shouldn’t use a base coat, I don’t know. I love the shade, even if I think it doesn’t suits my skintone.
Qualche tempo fa ho ricevuto da China Glaze due smalti da testare.
Il primo era nella mia wishlist da tempo, perché amo i colori pastello, anche se su di me fanno abbastanza pena. Comunque, si tratta di Peachy Keen, della collezione Up & Away. È un color pesca abbastanza deciso, effetto cremoso. Niente glitter, shimmer e parenti vari. Pesca punto e basta. Però è bello lucido, e la tenuta è buona (3 giorni ed era perfetto, poi come al solito mi sono stufata). Mi ci sono volute tre passate per renderlo più o meno coprente, e non sono ancora soddisfatta. Il pennellino mi sembra più fine rispetto ad altri smalti, ma non disturba l’applicazione, anzi.
Forse non avrei dovuto usare il base coat, non so.
Il colore mi piace, anche se non mi pare mi stia bene.
The second one is Pool Party, from Poolside collection. It’s a fluo pink. At first sight, it’s stunning, and you think you’ll never have any occasion to wear it. But when you wear it, it’s not so shocking. I’m not wearing it for work or for an interview, but if you still have some holidays, I think it’s perfect. It’s so funny and so pink, so if you like pink and if you’re not afraid of fluo colors, it’s your nail polish.
IRL it’s much more fluo than in the pictures, but unfortunately we had cloudy and rainy days here, and I didn’t want to wait to review it.
So, even if Peachy Keen was in my wishlist, and even if I wouldn’t have bought Pool Party by myself, my fav is absolutely Pool Party. It’s a pity I already finished my vacation (I’d better say I finished my vacation at the seaside, because I’ll spend two weeks working in my new house and getting very very very tired).
Il secondo è Pool Party, della collezione Poolside. È un rosa fosforescente peggio di un evidenziatore. A prima vista è abbastanza sconvolgente, a ho pensato che non avrei mai avuto occasione di metterlo, ma una volta provato non è così scioccante. Di sicuro non lo metterò mai per andare a lavorare o per fare un colloquio, ma se avessi ancora delle ferie da fare al mare potrebbe andare (e invece ciccia, le uniche ferie che farò saranno per mettere a posto casa e stancarmi come una bestia).
Comunque, il colore è molto fluo e molto rosa, quindi se non siete amanti di uno o dell’altro, è un po’ difficile farselo piacere. In realtà è molto più fluo in realtà che nelle foto, ma ha comunque un aspetto traslucido che lo rende meno intenso. In conclusione, visto che la coerenza la fa da padrona, nonostante avessi Peachy Keen in wishlist da mesi, e se avessi visto in giro Pool Party non l’avrei mai comprato, devo dire che alla fine tra i due preferisco Pool Party.
